Busy But Becoming: Why I’m Not Waiting for the “Right Time” to Reset
There’s this lie that if you’re really committed, you’ll wait until everything is in place. But I’ve learned that waiting for the “perfect time” is often just procrastination wrapped in perfectionism.
I’m a nurse, a wife, a toddler mom, and about to defend my PhD. I work 10-hour hospital shifts. I’m building a wellness business and showing up in real time. So no — I don’t have time. But I’m choosing to make space.
This 80-day journey isn’t about weight loss or aesthetics. It’s about becoming more of who I already am underneath the noise: strong, steady, radiant.
Here’s what I’m doing to jumpstart my reset:

Intermittent fasting, inspired by Dr. Mindy Pelz
A mix of Strength training, Low Impact (Lagree/Pilates/Yoga), and weekly runs
Supplementing with creatine + glutamine for hormone + muscle support
Fueling with matcha and MCT oil instead of coffee to avoid harsh energy crashes
